ReplyDeleteHey and thank you so much for the appreciation !!!
DeleteHey Ronit, great work man!
ReplyDeleteCould you tell me what was the CS of the final admit who made it to SJMSOM last year after all the WL movement?
Hey Dhaval. Thank you so much for the appreciation. I am trying to get that thing but somehow I am not able to get a response from the central administration of IIT Bombay. But I will surely post it as soon as possible.
DeleteHere the percentile of last ews candidate is 99.18. so that person has definitely converted FMS as well but waitlist movement is zero for ews. How is it possible? Can you please check once again?
ReplyDeleteHey Rupesh. So regarding your query. I have verified the same and all this data I received was through RTI. I have even confirmed it with a first appeal which states the given data is correct. Thanks !!!
DeleteAny idea when will be results of this batch announced?
DeleteHey Rupesh you can check the official dates on the website. But generally they are announced by the last week of April or max first week of May. Thanks !!!
DeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteCan you please post for IIM Ranchi?
Great work btw.
Hey Subh. Thank you so much for the appreciation. I have already filed an RTI to get data about IIM Ranchi. I will post the same as soon as I get the data. Thanks :)
DeleteReally helpful info. can we get info about previous year movements aswell. 2019 batch ?
ReplyDeleteHello. I do not have the actual data for the 2019-2021 batch admission process. However, since I myself am a part of the batch I can tell you the movements were on similar lines with general moving somewhere close to 255.
DeleteAccording to the 2021-2023 rti, around 450 people were given admission in general and 127 in obc, whereas the number mentioned here in 2020-2022 rti is almost half. Why is there a huge difference?
DeleteHey Aditya.
DeleteThe no. depends on a lot of factors and can definitely change every year. There is no reason as to why it moved so much in one year. There might be cases where if the better colleges increased their seats then the movement here might increase. But again no guarantee of this logic. Thanks :)
I would request you to make one for iim Shillong
ReplyDeleteHey Vivek. I have already filed a complaint to CIC against IIM Shillong. I am hoping they take some action since the college is not concerned to even respond to the query. Thanks :)
DeleteHi Rohit, the minimum composite score and minimum percentile is that of the last candidate in the first list or last candidate in the wait list.
ReplyDeleteHey Aman. A small mistake in my name.
DeleteAlso, the composite and percentile is for the last candidate in the first list. They made a mistake while giving me the data and that's why I could not get data for the last list. Thanks :)
Hi Ronit,How can EWS cutoff be higher than Gen cutoff?
ReplyDeleteHey Shubham. It can be higher if the no. of seats to no. of applicants ratio is greater than that of general. Also, it might be that the percentile for the candidate who secured admission might be higher and the interview score less leading to a lower CS. I hope you are understanding the logic. A variety of factors come into play and plus this data is just what I have received from RTI. Thanks :)
DeleteHi, I was going through past data for sjmsom and I had a query.
ReplyDeleteFor the waitlist movement table, does every waitlist movement mean that many new candidates got offer of admission? Or is there a possibility of an overlap between waitlist movements? Trying to figure out a safe waitlist number (max) for this year, do give your estimates if possible. TIA!
Hey Bhumika.
DeleteSo for the table mentioned in this post the movements mentioned are the ranks of the candidates till which the waitlist moved. However, in later years where you see actual numbers those are the actual waitlist movement.
And to answer your question, every waitlist movement means that many number of new candidates were offered admission by the institute. There can never be an overlap. Thanks and All the Best :)
Alright. Also looking at past trends, what do you think would be the max safe waitlist number for gen category?
DeleteHi Bhumika.
DeleteI would suggest going by the trends over the years, anything below 250 in waitlist for General would be having a very good scope for conversion. Thanks and All the Best :)
But as per newer data (2022-24) the general waitlist movement added up to 434 right? Also is there any gender diversity consideration in post PI score?
DeleteHi Bhumika.
DeleteYes as per the newer data the waitlist movements have increased significantly. But I have mentioned so that you get an almost sureshot chance at the institute. And yes since last 2 yrs SJMSOM does award some additional points for gender diversity in the post PI scores as well. The full details can be taken from the CS Calculation link. Thanks :)
At their website the post PI calculation is divided as
Delete42.5 CAT
42.5 PI
6 Workex
6 UG
3 Extra curricular
No mention of gender diversity anywhere :(
Hey.
DeleteI suppose I remember till last year there was 2 marks extra for female candidates in final as well. That might have been removed not sure though about this. The criteria as mentioned above is on the official website then it is sure that there are no extra points for gender diversity. Thanks :)
