I am not able to understand this.
ReplyDeleteIf a GEM with 8/8/7 acads had 99.5 (111/228) percentile last year. They wouldn't have converted raipur even with a perfect interview?
Hello.
DeleteI am not able to understand how have you calculated this. Could you please elaborate a bit. Thanks :)
I understood If a GEM with 24 months work with acads 8/8/8 score 111/228.
DeleteAs per admission policy
CAT Score(35%) - 111/228 x 35 = 17.03
PI(35%) - Perfect score = 35
Acad Profile(10%) = 8
Work ex(8%) = 8
Diversity(12%) =0
TOTAL CS - 68.50 which is less 69
Hence No convert
I think IIMs are giving the CS of last person on the direct convert list.
Hello.
DeleteI had clearly mentioned to get the cut off composite score which also stated this was the score of the last candidate above which everyone received a convert. And this was provided by the institute itself. I can definitely understand that you have a doubt and to reverify the same I would suggest filing an RTI and see what data you get. Thanks :)
Hi Ronit
ReplyDeletekudos to your work !!
Can you pls share what does cut off composite score represents ?
1) In the first list of direct converts the CS of last guy ?
OR
2) CS of the last guy after all waiting list
Hello.
DeleteThank you so much for the appreciation.
The cutoffs I have mentioned are the scores of the last person to have been offered admission by the institute. Thanks :)
Great Work Ronit Sir. Thanks a lot. :)
ReplyDeleteHello.
DeleteThank you so much for your words.
Also, most welcome and All the Best :)
When it says no of students offered final offer of admission in general category is 2515, that means this number is after all the waitlist candidates were cleared right?
ReplyDeleteHello.
DeleteThe 2515 no. simply states the total no. of students who were offered admission that includes merit lists and subsequent waitlists. Thanks :)
thanks for answering ,
Deleteone more doubt in the composite score calculation does they consider cat percentile or cat scaled score
Hello.
DeleteThat depends on the institute. Some use percentile and some use the scaled score. The same should have been mentioned in the CS criteria. If it is not you need to put in a mail to adcom for confirmation of the same. Thanks :)
Hi,
ReplyDeleteLove your work
Can you please provide the waitlist movement for iim Raipur and other IIMs as the data is only for number of people who got offer which can include buffer calls
Hello.
DeleteThank you so much for the appreciation and I am glad you found the blog useful.
Coming to waitlist movement, I had asked the same as well, but except IIM Udaipur none of the institutes shared the waitlist movements. Due to this I do not have the same. Thanks and All the Best :)
hi ronit,
Deletecan we file rti online to iim's
? and if possible tell the process also
Hello.
DeleteYes you can file an RTI online through the government portal for RTI. Please drop me an email and I will send you the procedure to do it. Thanks :)
Hi do u have an idea about how many students are offered the merit list in iim raipur
ReplyDeleteHello.
DeleteSadly no the institute did not provide the data related to direct merit converts, hence I do not have the same. Thanks :)
Can I expect conversion at WL no 432 in Obc category in IIM Raipur?
ReplyDeleteHi Faizan.
DeleteWe do not know of the buffer calls as of now. If I consider the buffer to be even 200 then too you should get a convert in the next few lists. But again this is as per my experience and opinion. Thanks and All the Best :)
Hi ,
ReplyDeleteI am waitlisted at 983 obc, any chance that I might convert and does this 1080 include buffer calls and if yes please tell how many?
Hello.
DeleteThe 1080 does include the buffer calls as well though I do not know of the number. However, 983 in OBC seems a difficult convert to me as per the trends I have seen over the years. However, please note this is as per my experience and no one can say anything for sure. Thanks and All the Best :)
What is DAP and Non-DAP?
ReplyDeleteHello.
DeleteDAP are the candidates having PWD reservation which is for the specially abled candidates. Since this reservation cuts across categories with 5 percent, hence it is given in that way. Thanks :)
hi Ronit, I am waitlisted this year for IIM Raipur at 958. ncobc candidate. Any chance to convert?
ReplyDeleteHello.
DeleteGoing by the trends, 958 seems a difficult no. to convert as per what I have seen. But again it can go either way as no one can say for sure and if the no. of buffer calls are very less. Thanks and All the Best :)
Hi Ronit I am waitlisted for I'm raipur at 1206 general category. Is there any chance of converting it
ReplyDeleteHello.
DeleteYes you still do have a chance of conversion. However, it would be in few of the last lists that the institute would release. Please note but this is as per my experience. Thanks and All the Best :)
Can you please tell how many hot offer in the first merit list
ReplyDeleteHello.
DeleteI would have definitely posted the same as well however, the institute did not provide me with the data. Thanks and All the Best :)
Thank you for getting this data, it is helping many of us. I am waitlisted at 1268 general in IIM Raipur, any chance of conversion?
ReplyDeleteHello.
DeleteMost welcome and I am glad it helped candidates :)
1268 should be a convert by the very last lists. However, please note this is as per my experience over the years. Thanks and All the Best :)
Sir, I have been waitlisted at IIM Raipur at 363 (NC-OBC). Do I have any chances to convert Raipur or should I forget my dream of IIM?? Please reply.
ReplyDeleteHello.
DeleteOBC-363 should give a convert in a few lists provided the institute has not given excessive buffer calls. However, this is as per my experience over the years. Though I still feel a strong probability of conversion. Thanks and All the Best :)
Hi Ronit, I am waitlisted this year for IIM RAIPUR at 132 ST category. any chances to convert?
ReplyDeleteHello.
DeleteAccording to the trends I have seen, ST-132 should give you a convert in few lists. However, please note this is as per my experience over the years and no one can say for sure. Thanks and All the Best :)
Hi Ronit I am waitlisted at 1206 in general category. Is it possible to convert
ReplyDeleteHello.
DeleteAs per the trends that I have seen, 1206 should still give you a convert post a few lists. However, this is as per the trends over the years and would also be dependent on the buffer calls given by the institute. Thanks and All the Best :)
Hey Ronit, I am waitlisted at 105 ews category for IIM Raipur, is it possible to convert?
ReplyDeleteHello.
DeleteEWS-105 at Raipur should give you a convert in a few lists. But again this is as per my experience and opinion over the years. Thanks and All the Best :)
Mitraa mi raipur madhe waitlisted aahe at 363 category sc, any chance?
ReplyDeleteHi Harshal.
Delete[replying in English for everyone's benefit] Yes SC-363 should be a convert. However, you will need to wait for a few lists to pass before you actually get the offer of admission. Also, please note this is as per my experience over the years and also dependent on the buffer calls given by the institute. Thanks and All the Best :)
Thank you so much for the wishes!
DeleteHi Ronit, Waitlist at 213 in obc category for iim raipur. Any chance for conversion. As two list already came with 0 movement till now.
ReplyDeleteHi Shubham.
DeleteAs per my experience even with buffer calls this should be a convert. If there are no movements it indicates a much higher no. of buffer calls were given. But I still feel you should get a convert in the next few lists. Please note though this is as per my experience. Thanks and All the Best :)
Hi I am wl 218 EWS.. After 3 waitlist movement it is updated to 193 is there any chance to convert raipur?
ReplyDeleteHello.
DeleteEWS-193 after 3rd list indicates a higher no. of buffer calls given. That might lead to a slight decrease in the chances of conversion. Though this is as per my knowledge and thus go other way as well. Thanks and All the Best :)
