Category-wise total no. of students offered the final offer of admission
NOTE - The data related to % of Interview Calls gives the percentage of candidates who were extended the final offer of admission to the MBA program of IIT Kharagpur over the no. of candidates who were shortlisted for the interview round.

NOTE - The waitlist details mentioned here are the ranks till which the admissions were offered in the respective waitlist movement.

ReplyDeleteFor SC category seats, the shortlisted students were 166, but the total waitlist movement sums up to 215. Data is not adding up, pls check.

DeleteFrankly saying 132 in SC seems a bit difficult for conversion if you check the stats over the last couple of years. Please do keep a backup option in this case. Though please note it is as per my experience over the years and no one can be 100 percent accurate. All the Best :)
Hey, data shows total 72 seats were vacant. Is there any chance of those seats being filled this year? Or will it be same 125 seats this year? Please tell

DeleteThe seat quota remains the same every year unless it is not increased by the institute. Thus, the empty seats from last year won't be filled in by the institute in the current year. Thanks :)
What are my chances of converting 390 WL GEN

DeleteOn a frank note, it would be extremely difficult to convert at WL 390 when the movement barely scratches 250 as per the trends in the last couple of years. Thanks and All the best :)

DeleteFrankly saying, 567 looks difficult as per the trends over the last couple of years. Additionally, the spot round does not move a lot as the same is only used to fill the remaining seats which would be quite less. Thanks and All the Best :)
I scored 90.66 percentile, should I fill the form for VGSOM? I have 3 years of work ex and 10th/12th/grad are 91.2/93.4/80.4

DeleteWhile your profile is indeed a stellar one, however, the percentile might be the one which might hamper the chances. However, I would still suggest to apply as if you do get an interview call, with a stellar interview you should have a decent chance of conversion due to your profile. Thanks and All the Best :)

DeleteConsidering the last few years of waitlist movement you seem to be on the edge. However, with the increase in seats across institutes in the last couple of years, you might just make it in by the last list. Though please note this is as per my experience as now one can be 100 percent sure. All the Best :)

I have joined iim kashipur but in the spot round got vgsom. Do i change? I belong to sc category so roi is a big factor for me. Help me by considering the fees part

DeleteSee moving to VGSOM would be a good move and an upgrade but then how are you going to repay the fees you will lose. Take into account fees for all 4 semesters. If the same at VGSOM is less as compared to Kashipur then go for it. Hope this helps. Thanks and All the Best :)
